Hotmail is changing to Outlook. While this is a rather strange title, this is exactly what is happening. Hotmail as we know it is being replaced with Outlook.com. Existing Hotmail users have the chance to convert their existing accounts and choose a new email address. The trick will be to get in quick and claim your name and be rid of random numbers required to make your address unique. Those of you who are slow off the mark will find your desired name already taken and will once again need to be creative.
Along with a new email address, the interface has been improved. Gone are the adverts so there is more room for your emails. The look and feel is also cleaner and appears to work better.
